Let’s face it - I’ve been more than a little down and grumpy lately due to a complete lack of adventures and sunshine.
This should change temporarily as I’m heading for Barcelona (Spain) tomorrow. The weather forecast promises 18 degrees which is a lot more than I’ve expected/I’m prepared for and my internal forecast promises adventures galore and the occasional bottle of Absinth.
I hate to admit that I’m terrified about leaving the laptop behind.. but at least I get to bring the camera - hombre!

..and your biggest mistake

Things I’ve learned (in no particular order):

It’s entirely possible for one person to have more than one soulmate. There are also partial soulmates. This can be both very confusing and painful.

Self-pity is a complete waste of time.

It’s perfectly okay to treat strangers with a certain amount of respect, no matter what they look like and no matter what mood you’re in at the time.

It really doesn’t matter how long it takes for you to come to a decision as long as it’s the right one.

Growing up does feel good sometimes.

It’s only natural to enjoy working if you consider your job satisfactory.

Smoking will kill you eventually, but first it makes your skin look awfully grey and your account balance look terribly sad.

The least painful (and most boring) way to look skinnier than you are is to wear black.
